Finding the center of who and what we are makes us whole.
What is Center
The center we are talking about is YOU. You are the only one in this world that is like you. You are unique you are the center of the universe right now. Understand you are of the universe, yet only now are you here in a human form. Finding the center is about finding your place at the center of the universe. When you embrace your human form and know the Universe goes in every direction from you. You become the center of the Universe as part of the Universe.
Being of Spirit and Human
Our spirit, and more importantly, our connection with God and the divine energy from which we originate, serve as guiding forces that keep our human tendencies in check. These spiritual anchors prevent us from allowing our desires to spiral out of control, potentially wreaking havoc not only on our own lives but also on the lives of those we interact with.
This is not to say that being human, with all its inherent desires and needs, is something to be suppressed or shamed. On the contrary, our humanity is an integral part of our existence. It’s natural to seek out things that bring us joy, comfort, and a sense of fulfillment. Desiring what is good for our body, mind, and environment is part of living a balanced life. The pursuit of what makes us feel good, as long as it is done with mindfulness, can contribute to our overall well-being.
However, where we often falter is when these desires overshadow our spiritual essence. When we lose touch with our spirit—our connection to the divine and the energy that sustains us—we risk becoming consumed by material pursuits and fleeting pleasures. This disconnection can lead us down paths that are not only harmful to ourselves but can also negatively impact others.
Living in alignment with our spiritual energy doesn’t mean denying our humanity. Instead, it means integrating our spiritual awareness with our human experience. When we cultivate this connection, we are more likely to make choices that reflect love, compassion, and integrity. We become less prone to actions that could lead to negative consequences or feelings of guilt, as we are guided by a deeper sense of purpose and connection to something greater than ourselves.
In essence, being in touch with our spirit allows us to live more consciously, making decisions that honor both our human desires and our spiritual values. This balance helps us navigate the complexities of life with grace, ensuring that our actions are in harmony with our higher purpose.

Mother
We are born to our human form from our mothers into a world that of itself is cold and unforgiving. At the time of our birth we are the closest to the spirit we will ever be. Our mothers comfort and care for us as we learn how to be human and how we relate to this world. We become part our earthly existence and the environments that are of our mother. Mother Earth provides us many things that of themselves sustain life, The water we drink, the food we eat and the clothes we wear. The material things we use to make our lives easier and more comfortable are of this earth and we enjoy them and how they make us feel. Our desires are of the mother and are good when kept in check. Our feelings and emotions are are human and help determine our actions based on our experience the way they will make us feel or have made us feel in the past. Caring for the Mother deepens our relationship with her by giving back that which is abundantly given to us. It has been said,”We are born of love, love is our mother.” “ Behind every great man is a great woman.” and “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.” all show the power and respect we give or should give the Mother knowing as the butter lady said,” It’s not nice to fool with Mother Nature.”. Balance in the Masculine and Feminine
When we understand that we are both human and spirit coming from father and mother as children and we will always be the children of the mother earth and the father of all. Being of both masculine and feminine we can find balance between the the two and use them to help us relate in the world and with others. We learn that God is of the masculine and the Earth the mother is of the feminine. Finding balance in being of both s not about being equal in each. Men and women are not equal as a whole and are quite different in so many ways. The balance is found by relating to and embracing the other sex by understanding and adopting traits that help us relate with each other and make us whole.

Direction in the Directions
In forming relationships within various areas of our lives, we discover that all connections—whether with other humans, our possessions, or our desires—begin as new beginnings born from some ending. Life’s ever-turning cycles introduce us to unknown experiences and desires that challenge us to find balance between our spiritual essence and our earthly existence.
We’ve broken down this journey into different areas represented by the directions—North, South, East, and West—where we stand at the center. These directions symbolize more than just compass points; they represent the cycles of our days and years, and ultimately, the entirety of our existence. Each cycle of life, with its unique challenges and blessings, is mirrored in these directions, embodying all that has been and all that will be.
Skyward: Connecting with the Divine
We look to the Sky, to God, to find our Spirit—our place within the grand design and our connection with all that exists. In doing so, we allow ourselves to soar spiritually, letting go of earthly constraints and embracing a relationship with God that elevates us beyond the mundane. Our heads in the clouds, we explore the vastness of our spiritual potential, discovering connections that can only be realized through divine communion.
Grounded in the Earth
In contrast, we turn to the Earth to find understanding and grounding. Our feet, firmly planted on the soil, remind us that we are intrinsically linked to Mother Earth. She sustains us and will eventually reclaim us when our physical journey ends. This grounding keeps us rooted in reality, helping us balance our spiritual aspirations with our human responsibilities.
The East: Embracing New Beginnings
The East represents the Rising Sun, the dawn of a new day, and the promise of new beginnings. It is where consciousness awakens, where life and ideas emerge, bringing light to previously unseen possibilities. Our connection with the East fills us with hope and optimism, like the first blooms of spring. It encourages us to welcome new experiences with the freshness and vitality of a new day.
The South: Living Fully in the Present
The South is the direction of the Sun at its zenith, symbolizing the heat of the day, the peak of our emotions and being. It is the most human of directions, representing the here and now—the summer of our lives. In the South, we find our passions, desires, and youthful vitality. It is where we live fully, forming our identity and shaping our journey. This is where we experience the richness of life, engaging with the world around us with energy and enthusiasm.
The West: Reflecting on the Past
The West is the direction of the Setting Sun, symbolizing the end of the day and the closing of a chapter. It is the direction of reflection, where we harvest the wisdom from our experiences, just as autumn yields its bounty. The West invites us to look back with clarity and understanding, appreciating how our past actions and decisions have shaped our present. It is a place of learning and gratitude, where we find that our experiences continue to serve us well.
The North: Embracing the Unknown
The North represents the night, the winter of our lives, and the unknown that lies ahead. It is the direction of deep wisdom, holding the knowledge of those who came before us—our ancestors and spiritual guides. The North is the most spiritual of directions, offering inspiration and comfort as we navigate the mysteries of life. It reminds us that even in the darkest times, there is guidance and light to be found in the wisdom of the past and the unknown future.
Finding Wholeness in All Directions
Bringing these directions together gives us true Direction. By understanding how they interrelate, we can weave their lessons into our lives, finding balance and harmony. The directions are not isolated points but interconnected paths that, when embraced together, make us whole.
When we look to the East, we embrace new beginnings with excitement, tempered by the wisdom of the North, where we find comfort in the unknown. We learn from the West, where our past experiences inform our present, and we live fully in the South, where all these elements converge into the vibrant now.
Ultimately, by uniting the directions—Up, Down, North, South, East, and West—we find balance in our HEART CENTER, the true compass that connects us to everyone and everything. It is here, in this sacred space, that we achieve a harmonious relationship between our spiritual and human selves, guided by the wisdom of the directions.
Connection with all things in our lives is found in all directions to find our heart center in the NOW.
