PERSONAL GROWTH

Grow Yourself

To say “I am done growing” is not something that anyone will admit they say of feel. We all believe that we are constantly growing, but how many times do we get complacent in our personal growth or not recognize the opportunities for growth that we encounter everyday? I know I can get by on what I have learned up to this point in my life and if I stop having the desire to learn or grow I will start thinking there is something missing. I have to start by asking myself , “ What is it that I want.” in every area of my life, mind, body and soul. There is always room to grow in the relationships in my life.

The meaning of life is to find your gift, the purpose of life is to give it away.

Today I will spend some quality time working on getting to know myself better.

“What lies behind us and what lies ahead of us are tiny matters to what lies within us.” Ralph Waldo Emerson

It is useless to try to change another person unless we have first changed ourselves. Our primary purpose is the healing of our own mind. Great Spirit help me to heal my mind so I may be a channel of blessing, help me to awaken & let me not be seduced by projecting my needs onto others. T.G.

“Amidst the worldly comings and goings, observe how endings become beginnings.” Tao Te Ching

The term self-help (or self-improvement) refers to self-guided improvement economically, intellectually, or emotionally—often with a substantial psychological or spiritual basis.
Self-help often takes place on the basis of self-reliance, of publicly available information, or of support groups where people in similar situations join together. From early exemplars in self-driven legal practice and home-spun advice, the connotations of the phrase have spread and often apply particularly to education, business, psychological or psychotherapeutic nostrums, purveyed through the popular genre of self-help books and through self-help personal-development movements. According to the APA Dictionary of Psychology, potential benefits of self-help groups that professionals may not be able to provide include friendship, emotional support, experiential knowledge, identity, meaningful roles, and a sense of belonging.
Groups associated with health conditions may consist of patients and/or their careers. As well as featuring long-time members sharing experiences, these health groups can become lobby groups and clearing-houses for educational material. Those who help themselves by learning about health problems do exemplify self-help, while one might better regard help in this context as peer-to-peer support.

Being of Spirit and Human

Our spirit and more importantly our our connection with God and the energy that we come from, is what keeps our human side from getting out of control and wreaking havoc on our lives and the lives of those we relate with in this life. That’s not to say that being human and doing things that are good for our human life, body and environment is all bad. Quite the contrary. We are human and we are not immune to desires or desiring the things that make us feel good and want for the things that are beyond the things we need for our existence. Nor, are we wrong to pursue those things and do the things that would make feel good. When we are in touch with our spirit and living as or being of that spiritual energy, we are less likely to do things that will make us burn in hell. Read more about Hell Click Here.

“Whenever you’re in conflict with someone, there is one factor that can make the difference between damaging your relationship and deepening it. That factor is attitude.” William James

Mother

We are born to our human form from our mothers into a world that of itself is cold and unforgiving. At the time of our birth we are the closest to the spirit we will ever be. Our mothers comfort and care for us as we learn how to be human and how we relate to this world. We become part our earthly existence and the environments that are of our mother. Mother Earth provides us many things that of themselves sustain life, The water we drink, the food we eat and the clothes we wear. The material things we use to make our lives easier and more comfortable are of this earth and we enjoy them and how they make us feel. Our desires are of the mother and are good when kept in check. Our feelings and emotions are are human and help determine our actions based on our experience the way they will make us feel or have made us feel in the past. Caring for the Mother deepens our relationship with her by giving back that which is abundantly given to us. It has been said,”We are born of love, love is our mother.” “ Behind every great man is a great woman.” and “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.” all show the power and respect we give or should give the Mother knowing as the butter lady said,” It’s not nice to fool with Mother Nature.”. Balance in the Masculine and Feminine

When we understand that we are both human and spirit coming from father and mother as children and we will always be the children of  the mother earth and the father of all. Being of both masculine and feminine we can find balance between the the two and use them to help us relate in the world and with others. We learn that God is of the masculine and the Earth the mother is of the feminine. Finding balance in being of both s not about being equal in each. Men and women are not equal as a whole and are quite different in so many ways. The balance is found by relating to and embracing the other sex by understanding and adopting traits that help us relate with each other and make us whole.

All paths led to God!

“My religion consists of a humble admiration of the illimitable superior spirit who reveals himself in the slight details we are able to perceive with our frail and feeble mind.” Albert Einstein

If you want to see God, stop desiring to see God

Connection with all things in our lives is found in all directions to find our heart center in the NOW.

MORE ON THE DIRECTIONS

These pages are under construction , but will break down the different directions further explaining practical and proper uses in our development and daily lives.

We look to the Sky or to God to find our Spirit, our place and part of everything and to make connection with other people and things. We can let go and have our heads truly in the clouds, be out there spiritually and soar in our connections in ways that can only be accomplished with our relationship with God.

We look to the Earth to find understanding and to stay grounded. Our feet are attached to the Earth and we are part of the mother, we cannot leave the Earth as we are now and are going to return to her upon the death of our bodies.

The East is representative of the Rising Sun, the new day and new beginnings. It is the beginning of our conscious thoughts, when our lives and other lives come into the world making new things come to light. Our connection with the direction of the East gives us a hopeful Outlook as we start to emerge like the flowers of the springtime.

The South is the direction that is of the Sun, the hot of the day, the place of our emotions and being. It is the most human of directions, it is where we are right now. It is a place that continues in light of the day, as the summer of Our Lives. Where we our passions and desires, our youth and vitality reside. We live here, truly live, and in the timeline of our lives we form who we are here.

The West the direction of the Setting Sun and being a day ending of our thoughts the direction of the past, the things that we have learned. It’s the place, space and time of reflection. Connection with this direction is like the fall where we reap the Harvest of the things that we are doing have done and continue to do. We look back on our day and days knowing that we are finding that our experiences are serving us well.

The North is the direction of the unknown, sleeping time, night and the winter of our lives. It is the direction that contains the knowledge of the previous time, the direction of our ancestors and those who have come before us. It is the most spiritual direction providing us with inspiration and comfort while we are here.

Bringing the directions together gives us Direction. When we look to how the different directions relate to and with each other, we can practice that relationship between them in our lives. Whe they come together and we use the knowledge we have of them, they make us whole.

When we can look to the new beginnings and the direction of the East, we can be excited about  new beginnings, because we have embraced the unknown and the direction of the North. We can put me behind the past and having learned from the past at the direction of the West. All those things come together as what is best for us right now in the South.

Bringing all directions together, Up, Down, North, South, East and West in our HEART CENTER, we find balance and connection to everyone and everything.

How do you want to be (seen)?

Nobody is who they were yesterday and nobody is who they are in the eyes of another; each person is who they are via their own interpretation right now this very moment. It starts with yourself; seeing what you want to be and then being who you want to be.
This interpretation of self starts with stripping yourself down and taking a real and honest inventory regarding how you perceive yourself, physically, morally, socially, spiritually and ethically. Your interpretation is affected by the beliefs you have about how others perceive you.
We have all got that internal voice that likes to gripe and complain and tells us how dumb our ideas are. When we make mistakes this voice inside is sure to never let us forget about it. If we’ve hurt someone or they’ve hurt us that bitter voice inside is sure to never let us have a moment’s rest ever again. So how does someone shut that voice up?
First of all it starts by giving yourself a break; nobody’s perfect. Guilt in all its glory is merely a form of resentment regarding your interpretation and judgement of your own behavior and thoughts. Forgiveness makes practical sense. If you hold onto a resentment it festers inside you like that inescapable voice until it makes you ill depriving you of your sensibility of good moral judgement and even your power and free will. The idea of confession isn’t to humiliate a person; it’s to gain humility. Humility is the quality of being humble. In a religious context this can mean a recognition of self in relation to God. Outside of a religious context, humility is defined as the self-restraint from excessive vanity, and can possess moral and/or ethical dimensions. Humility, in various interpretations, is widely seen as a virtue in many religious and philosophical traditions.
So basically when you’re wrong; admit it and be sure to follow up with an apology. If it’s been awhile know that it’s never too late to make amends even if the person you hurt has passed away. An honest acknowledgement of your mistakes and a genuine understanding of the harm you caused in the face of the one you harmed or even a photograph of them has miraculous benefits for you.
Holding a resentment because of a wrong done to you has the same effect as holding onto guilt. If you’ve the audacity to ask to be forgiven then you ought to be able to forgive others as well. Sometimes this isn’t easy to do; you may feel justified in your hurt but to hold onto that resentment is the same as holding onto the guilt you have for yourself; it will only fester and get worse over time. Besides; quite often an offender doesn’t even know they’ve been offensive.
Moving beyond the guilt and resentments you would then take a look at what you value physically, morally, socially, spiritually and ethically. Of the things you value be sure to indicate what matters the most to you. Then decipher what you already have and what you don’t have and make a conscious effort to develop a plan of action toward maintaining the qualities you wish to keep and gaining those you don’t yet have.
Understand that this action plan has nothing to do with goal setting in regard to achieving a better income or finding your soulmate; it’s completely and one hundred percent about the kind of person you want to be versus who you are right now.
If all you do is focus on being the kind of person you truly want to be then you already are the kind of person you want to be. Faith in something beyond what you can see in front of you coupled with action is purposeful and creative intent. Extraordinary things occur; miracles and impossibilities become manifest where your farthest reaching aspirations become a reality.

Direction in the Directions

In forming relationships within different areas of our life and our existence, we find all relationships, whether they be with other humans, our possessions, our needs or wants, start as new beginnings that come from some ending. There are times and things that bring about the unknown and we are faced with different desires that are all new to us. So how do we form balance and relationship between being spiritual, of the spirit, and human, of the Earth?

We have broken it down into different areas represented by different directions and of where we stand in the middle of those directions. The directions represent more than North, South, East and West. The directions represent the cycle of our days and of the years. When we look at our lives we find each cycle of our lives is represented in those directions as well. We take that further and say that it is the existence of all that has been or will be.

We look to the Sky or to God to find our Spirit, our place and part of everything and to make connection with other people and things. We can let go and have our heads truly in the clouds, be out there spiritually and soar in our connections in ways that can only be accomplished with our relationship with God.
